The human rights preamble (in the 'The Challenge') for Choir with Tenor soloist, Violin and Piano - The new version was created by Artists for Human Rights - a group based in Berlin. This piece was commissioned by Rainer Schnurre in September 2001. I received the German text and my first reaction was 'not an iota of music is there to be squeezed out of this text...but shortly after I was in the zone and in 3 weeks the piece was finished coinciding with the birth of our youngest child Felix. The music for the articles themselves is shortly to be completed for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass with String quartet and Piano. Date of writing this 22.8.2017
